Title: Uncountable finitely homogeneous structures

Abstract

I will present the context and results of the recent joint work in 
progress with Mirna Džamonja and Wiesław Kubiś. Given a Fraïssé class \F 
in a countable relational language, we study the question whether there 
exists an uncountable \F-homogeneous structure. (It is well-known that 
it exists if \F is finite.) We give a sufficient condition generalizing 
the known results as well as some examples not covered by the previous 
results, and we demonstrate that this is ultimately a question about the 
monoid of self-embeddings of the countable Fraïssé limit of \F.
