Title: Overcomplete sets in Banach spaces

 Abstract

A sequence in a Banach space X is said to be overcomplete if each one of its subsequence is complete (i.e. its linear hull is dense). In this talk we will provide an overview on the subject, focusing the attention on the existence of such sequences (each separable Banach space admits an overcomplete sequence, Klee 1958) and some their topological properties. The second part of the talk is devoted to present a joint work in progress with Tommaso Russo that deals with the non-separable counterpart of the overcomplete sequences.
