         Speaker: Aaron Kettner, Mathematical Institute, Charles University

         Title: $K$-theory for the $C^*$-algebra of a homeomorphism and a
vector bundle



         Abstract


We outline how to construct a C*-algebra from a homeomorphism on a

 compact Hausdorff space $X$, together with a vector bundle over $X$.

 This generalizes crossed products of the form

 $C(X)\rtimes_\alpha\mathbb{Z}$. Under reasonable assumptions these

 $C^*$-algebras turn out to be classifiable in the sense of the Elliott

 program. We sketch K-theory calculations which are work in progress with

 Karen Strung and Sven Raum.
