Title: Irredundant bases for permutation groups and their connection to combinatorics

Abstract <br />
<p>In this talk, I will introduce irredundant bases for permutation groups and highlight their relevance for certain combinatorial problems. </p><p>In particular, I will talk about a connection to questions on the extendability of partial isomorphisms of relational structures (EPPA).</p><p>Motivated by this, I will present bounds on the maximal size of irredundant bases for solvable groups. </p><p>Parts of this talk are based on joint work with Coen del Valle and Colva Roney-Dougal.</p>
