<div>If you're not familiar with Overleaf, it's an online LaTex compiler which is extremely handy for collaborations as it allows multiple people to edit the document at the same time without creating a whole bunch of conflicted copies (as happens using something like Dropbox). It also has a handy "History" section which allows you to see recent changes, as well as who made them. There is a free version, which, up until now, has been adequate. Technically you were only allowed to invite a single collaborator to a given project. However, there was a work-around that allowed you to send a link to people that would allow them to become editors of the project. Unfortunately, it seems like Overleaf is now cracking down on this, as all my projects with more than one other collaborator are giving warnings that as of 29 July, they will be made "viewers" of the project and no longer be able to edit. Needless to say this is rather inconvenient as I have a number of projects on the go that have multiple collaborators.</div>

<div>If enough people are using Overleaf, I would like to write to the director to suggest we get an Institute-wide account. This would obviously be better than everyone paying for their own individual accounts. Another possibility would be for a number of us to go together on a group deal, which does make it more affordable.</div>
