Title: Homogeneous isosceles-free spaces
Abstract
We study homogeneity aspects of isosceles-free metric spaces: spaces where no triple of distinct points forms an isosceles triangle. It turns out that 1-homogeneous isosceles-free spaces are ultrahomogeneous, that they are exactly uniquely 2-homogeneous spaces, and that they can be characterized as linear spaces over Z_2 with an injective norm. The class of all finite isosceles-free spaces is a hereditary class without weak amalgamation property. We also give a partial answer to the question "What is the largest number of distances occuring in a finite 1-homogeneous metric space of size n?" This is joint work with Christian Bargetz, Wies?aw Kubi?, and Franz Luggin.
